About Me

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to teach Preschool again this year.  Teaching is my second career after many years as an Office Manager.  I waited until my kids were older to pursue my lifelong dream of teaching.  I graduated from college at the ripe old age of 49 and started teaching the following August.

This is my 10th year teaching and I have taught Special Education, Kindergarten, First, Third and Fourth. I have a Master in School Administration and Leadership from SOSU and another one from TAMUT in Curriculum and Instruction as an Educational Diagnostician. I  love to learn and teaching Preschool is allowing me to see how education grows and all fits together.

More about me:

I graduated from North Zulch in 1983. In February 2022, I moved back home from Kauai, HI to be with our Dad while he was recovering from a heart attack due to COVID.  I was honored to be given the opportunity to finish out the year in Kindergarten.   Last year, due to a large PreK class, I moved down and this year I was blessed to teach it again.

My husband and I just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in July.  We have four married children (two boys and two girls) and four grandsons. This past June, we finally were blessed with our first granddaughter.  We also have 4 grand-dogs that are as spoiled as our grands.

We have a German Shephard and a Black Labrador that live on our home place in Oklahoma with my son.  They are older and we didn't think they could take a move.  We have a Doxie and an Australian Shephard that lives with us here.  We love horses and currently have 6.  My horse's name is Morgie and she is a Morgan.

I'm a native Texan but I've lived in Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Hawaii.  My husband was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and retired in September 2022, so we are glad our work travels are over.

My birthday is October 3rd and I love coffee, Dr. Pepper, chocolate, flavor packets for my water, and Amazon.  My favorite things to do are spend time with my family, ride horses, and spoil my grands.

Thank you for sharing your baby with me this year.  Please know that I am available to visit with you during my conference time.  You may reach me through ParentSquare or call the office and leave a message.
